Megala's passion for social justice and commitment to empowering marginalized communities inspire us all at Arise Charitable Trust.

John Samuel - Cofounder

John Samuel, M.S.W., serves as the Cofounder & Secretary of Arise Charitable Trust, actively engaged in fundraising and resource mobilization. With a passion for community development, John brings years of experience working with marginalized communities. As a social entrepreneur, he excels in identifying sustainable income opportunities, driving significant growth for the organization. John's expertise has been instrumental in Arise Charitable Trust's growth and success.

Joshua Billy Graham - Cofounder

Treasurer

Mr. Joshua Billy Graham is the treasurer of Arise Charitable Trust. He manages all trust funds, accounting, and financial transactions. With a deep commitment to social justice, Joshua's expertise and attention to detail have been instrumental in ensuring the financial sustainability of the organization. His dedication to serving marginalized communities, particularly the Irular community, serves as an inspiration to all at Arise Charitable Trust.

Mrs. Sharmi, an MBA graduate, is one of the most valuable members of our team, dedicated to enriching the lives of tribal children through education As an after-school tuition teacher, she has been instrumental in providing quality education to the children in our community. Sharmi's motherly nature and noble character have made her an instant hit with the children. She has a natural ability to connect with them and make learning enjoyable. Her teaching style is unique, and she is always coming up with creative ways to help the children learn

Gracie - Staff

Team Member

Gracie, a valued member of our organization, plays a pivotal role in our day-to-day operations. As a member of the Irula tribal community, she serves as a teacher's assistant in our after-school tuition program, bringing extensive local knowledge and cultural insight to our initiatives. Gracie's primary responsibility involves assisting our tuition teacher in class activities and providing support to the children. Her exceptional communication skills and ability to connect with the children foster a comfortable and conducive learning environment, resulting in notable improvements in academic performance. Moreover, Gracie's presence has strengthened trust within the local community, particularly among the Irula tribal community, allowing us to tailor our programs to better meet their specific needs. We are grateful for Gracie's dedication and invaluable contributions to our organization's success.
